Leadership Now - Player's Handbook 2nd Edition

The Leadership Now program has been developed by a dedicated inter-disciplinary team consisting of healthcare professionals, child advocates, sociologists and educators. The program is designed to be a transformative educational experience whereby young persons are given an opportunity to develop sustainable leadership skills that will have a meaningful impact in their immediate as well as future social, civic and academic lives. This program is a reflection of Children Now’s fundamental belief that meaningful investment in the leadership potential of our youth is essential for the betterment of our society, as these future leaders will not only improve the quality of their own lives, but will contribute positively to all aspects of society as family leaders, civic leaders, environmental ambassadors, social responsibility advocates, and champions of inclusion and respect for diversity.

Seven specific themes, or chapters, are covered: teamwork, leadership, values, power and influence, emotional intelligence, decision-making and bullying. Each chapter presents objectives, definitions, an analysis of the topic, and an exercise to apply what has been learned.


The PLAYER'S MANUAL offers basic content and covers most of the elements related to each topic. Children can therefore learn the concepts on their own as the whole is presented in a clear and direct manner. The program can also be completed with a tutor who is familiar with the content of the book. This trainer can enrich certain notions by providing additional elements, offering a broader perspective to the children.


The COACH'S GUIDE is also available for anyone interested in leading a group in this program.
