Escaping Helsinki

The Escaping Helsinki sock pattern was originally named 'Helsinkiä pakoon' in the Finnish sock book 'Tuhansien villasukkien maa'. Please note that the pattern is available for purchase only in English here on Payhip.


Pattern features:

• designed for fingering weight (approximately 400-420 m / 100 g) yarns: 60-70 grams of MC and less than 10 grams of CC1 and CC2
• knitted cuff-down
• instructions written for magic loop but dpns can be used as well
• instructions written in metric and US terminology
• five sizes: extra-small (54 sts), small (60 sts), medium (66 sts), large (72 sts) and extra-large (78 sts)
• simple colourwork followed by textured pattern
• ribbed French heel
• charts but no written instructions for the stranded colourwork
