ABOUT: A versatile layer for spring, easy to stash in your bag when the temperature rises. Knit from end to end, the main body pattern is quick to memorize, making it a great portable project. Knit it extra long if you plan to wrap it multiple times!

Bonus: choose a summer-y fiber and make a headband!

SIZES: One size, variable depending on your gauge and desired length.

Scarf sample shown measures 4.5”/11.5 cm wide by 40”/102 cm long.

Headband sample measures 20”/51 cm long with 9”/23 cm long ties.

YARN: Scarf sample knit in Woolen Boon Boon Skinny, 100% Merino, 400 yd/3.5 oz (366 m/100 g) in Thistle held together with Amano Yarns Uma, 37% Suri alpaca, 37% mohair, 26% silk, 230 yd/1 oz (210 m/25 g) in Forbidden City; sample used 150 yd/137 m Boon Skinny plus 120 yd/110 m Uma

Headband sample knit in Magpie Fibers Equinox Sport, 65% silk, 35% linen, 365 yd/4 oz (334 m/115 g); sample used 65 yd/60 m

A fingering or sport weight yarn is recommended, optionally held with a laceweight.

GAUGE: 22 sts x 36 rows = 4”/10 cm in pattern.

Gauge is not essential for this pattern but will impact your project’s width and yardage.

NEEDLES: US 4/3.5 mm needles, or size needed to meet gauge (or to produce desired fabric with your yarn!).

Tip: for the more slippery silk/linen fiber, I went down a needle size!
