DESCRIPTION

This understated top-down sweater celebrates knitter’s simple pleasures: garter stitch and tweed.

Tweed is the New Black is a raglan-sleeved sweater with a relaxed fit. Raglan increase lines worked in garter stitch continue down the body as wide garter-stitch panels placed at the sides. The body and sleeves are framed with deep bands also worked in garter stitch. A well-tailored, rounded neckline gives that classic crew-neck look.

Choose from the two style options to best go with your mood and taste. Pick the women’s version with modest waist shaping for a more fitted look. The unisex version with no shaping and slightly longer sleeves is intended for a masculine body type — or for the ultimate comfort, the boyfriend sweater.

The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology. Only written instructions are provided.
