Guilty Pleasure
DESCRIPTION
Guilty Pleasure is such an entrancing knit you'll find yourself fantasizing about the next color pairing before even finishing the first one. This casual top-down raglan sweater features a simple, yet effective visual element: bold color blocking. Knit in a fluffy, ethereal yarn, this sweater will make a wonderfully light garment you'll reach for year round.
But don't let the apparent simplicity fool you! Simultaneous raglan increases coupled with short rows create a well-fitting garment but the multi-stage shaping instructions require some concentration to master. Sizes XS–2X are knit as a compound raglan, sizes 3X–6X as a conventional raglan. Bust darts are recommended for those well-endowed in the bosom department. The body of the garment can be knit straight (without waist shaping) or with a gentle hourglass shape (with waist shaping).
Guilty Pleasure comes in 10 sizes from XS to 6X; choose your size based on upper bust circumference. Schematic of finished measurements is provided, including or omitting optional bust and waist shaping. The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology.

Choose a size based on upper bust circumference (measured at the underarm level above any breast tissue). This size-inclusive pullover is intended to be worn with approx. 4–6 cm / 1¾–2½" of positive ease. The model wears size S with 5 cm / 2" of positive ease.
The pattern is graded with a 5 cm / 2" difference between upper and full bust (B cup); additional shaping instructions are provided for larger busts (see schematic).
Unfortunately I wasn't able to find test knitters for sizes XS and 4X–6X. If you'd like to knit any of these sizes, I would be happy to provide you the pattern free of charge in exchange for your feedback. Contact me for details!

Garnstudio DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk (77% alpaca, 23% silk, 140 m/25 g, 153 yd/0.9 oz), 2 colors

Needles
- 4.0 mm / US #6 short and long circular needles for stockinette (or size needed to obtain gauge)
- 3.0 mm / US #2½ short and long circular needles for 2x2 ribbing
- If not working in magic loop, double-pointed needles in the same sizes for the sleeves
Notions
- 6 stitch markers: 4 raglan markers, 1 BOR marker, 1 CB marker
- Waste yarn, extra cable, or circular needle for holding sleeve stitches
- Darning needle
GAUGE
- 18 sts × 30 rnds = 10 cm / 4" in stockinette on larger needles, blocked
- 18 sts × 30 rnds = 10 cm / 4" in 2x2 ribbing on smaller needles, blocked
TECHNIQUES USED
The pattern uses the following techniques: working in the round, German short rows, jogless stripes, provisional cast-on, and stretchy bind-off.
