he phone call is coming from inside the house!
Actually, Livie Sinclair is all too aware that the midnight phone calls she’s been receiving are coming from inside her house. They are coming from the sofa in her parlor, in fact. And her louse of an ex-husband is the one making them.
Livie’s life is pretty hectic and full, what with her four kids, two dogs, three gold fish, and her mother, who is constantly dragging home stray bachelors the way some old ladies drag home stray cats. She doesn’t need another thing put on her plate. But, when her ex-husband, Dillon McGuire, crashes his car and is too injured to care for himself, Livie takes him in.
Little does she know the dangerous game that she’s about to be drawn into.
Dillon McGuire is…different now. After walking away from a near fatal car crash, he doesn’t seem to be the same wretched man who’d lured her into a marriage of convenience and then broke her heart. This new Dillon McGuire is a man with feelings and regrets, a man who is suddenly vowing to make amends for the things he’s done to his children…to his wife. Of course, Livie knows it’s just the concussion talking, so she doesn’t put a lot of stock in Dillon’s promises, which are as hollow and meaningless as the man himself.
But, then the midnight phone calls begin and Livie finds herself drawn into a sexy and heated game that has her thinking maybe, just maybe, Dillon McGuire is a changed man after all. Those secret phone calls ignite her passion and stir her soul and if she can just allow herself to trust the man on the other end of the line, then maybe she’ll finally have the happily ever after that she’s always dreamed of.
