ICE CREAM DREAMS! MOSAIC CROCHET PATTERN - CHART ONLY VERSION

This pattern was designed as part of the Months of The Year Mosaic Blanket CAL hosted by Elimee Designs for which my design ‘Ice Cream dreams!’ is the August pattern strip!

PATTERN NOTES

This pattern is a 29 row overlay mosaic chart, with 48 stitch repeat (plus 3st = 1 buffer stitch and 1 start and end of row stitch) So if you want to make a 3 motif repeat which fits a standard single blanket width, your starting chain stitch count will be 49 x 3 = 147 plus 2 = 149 plus 1st turning chain = ch 150

2 Colour Overlay Mosaic Technique

This technique is one of the simplest mosaic crochet techniques, whereby the colours alternate each row, joining and fastening off at the end of each row, forming side 'fringes'. The edge stitches are worked in both loops. The pattern is worked in sc and BLO for all stitches except the 'overlay' stitches which are worked in the FLO into the stitch 2 rows below, thus covering over the stripe of the alternative coloured row in those sections.

GUAGE - 18st X 19r = 4 inches approx using DK acrylic yarn

SIZE (of 1 repeat) 10.5 inches approx using DK acrylic yarn
