Russian A Level: "Последние годы СССР. Какой была жизнь в Советском союзе?"/"The Last Years of the USSR"

Готовый тематический урок русского языка и культуры для студентов Russian A Level (уровня B2), посвящённый последним годам существования СССР и повседневной жизни советских людей в 1980-е годы и начале 1990-х.

Урок помогает студентам не только вспомнить основные факты об СССР, но и взглянуть на советскую эпоху через реальные воспоминания людей о повседневной жизни: быте, отношениях между людьми, покупках, работе, образовании, медицине, свободе и ограничениях.

Что студенты будут делать?

В начале урока студенты проходят квиз из 13 вопросов, который помогает активизировать уже имеющиеся знания об СССР. Основная часть урока посвящена повседневной жизни советских людей. Студенты читают воспоминания и понимают, что наряду с ощущением безопасности, доступным образованием и системой социальной поддержки существовали многочисленные проблемы: дефицит, очереди, бюрократия, ограничения.

Урок построен так, чтобы исторический материал одновременно становился основой для развития русского языка: студенты слушают аутентичные высказывания, извлекают информацию, работают с новой лексикой и обсуждают разные стороны советской жизни. Это готовый материал, который можно использовать как самостоятельный тематический урок или как часть более крупного блока о СССР, перестройке и распаде Советского Союза.

A ready-to-use Russian language and culture lesson for Russian A Level students (B2), focusing on the final years of the USSR and everyday life in the Soviet Union during the 1980s and early 1990s. The lesson helps students not only revise key facts about the USSR, but also explore the Soviet era through real people’s memories of everyday life — home and family life, relationships, shopping, work, education, healthcare, freedom and restrictions.

What will students do?

The lesson begins with a 13-question quiz designed to activate students’ existing knowledge about the USSR.

The main part of the lesson focuses on everyday life in the Soviet Union.
