What is SDE?

Seller's discretionary earnings: net profit before tax plus the owner pay, non-cash, financing and one-off items a buyer accepts as add-backs.

Where do the multiples come from?

You enter them. The sample low, mid and high multiples are examples only. Check recent sales of similar businesses in your area.

Can a seller use it as well as a buyer?

Yes. Sellers use it to set an asking price they can defend. Buyers use it to test that price against payback and debt cover.

Does it work in Google Sheets?

It opens in Google Sheets and the formulas calculate. Check the drop-downs and charts after import.
