This is a pattern for a pair of muffatees and beanie style hat. Both are worked from the bottom up and in the round, using the stranded colourwork technique.

2 Ply Jumper Weight by Jamieson & Smith; Light Fingering; 100% Shetland 125yds (115m) / 25 grams

MUFFATEES

34 (32, 30, 28) sts x 34 (32, 30, 28) rows = 4in/10cm measured over stranded stockinette on 2.25 (2.5, 2.75, 3.0) mm needles

HAT

26 sts x 32 rows = 4in/10cm measured over stranded stockinette on larger needles

Some knitters work stranded/corrugated rib and single-coloured at different gauges. Change needles, as needed, to keep gauge the same throughout.

knuckle circumference - 7.5 (7.75, 8.5, 9) in / 19 (20, 21.5, 23) cm

hat circumference - 18 (21) in / 46 (54) cm to be worn with 0.5 - 1 in / 1 - 2 2.5 cm neg ease
