Wind And Rainstorm Sounds New Zealand
Before heading out for a day of exploring Wellington, I left our recorder near a window left slightly ajar. The sky was dark, the wind picking up, and minutes after we stepped out, the storm began.
When we returned and listened back, the results were even better than expected: rhythmic rain drumming against the glass, the eerie whistle of wind slipping through the cracks, and the distant hum of city traffic weaving through the background.
It’s a layered, moody soundscape perfect for cinematic tension, atmospheric sound design, or simply adding texture to urban weather scenes.
