Martial Solal: Coming Yesterday (Suite for Trio, 1977)

I love this Martial Solal composition, and I guess he loved it too because it would become an essential of all his late solo concerts. This is the first time he recorded it, in trio format with Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (NHØP) on bass and Daniel Humair on drums.

Sometimes, when the piano and drums are very loud, it’s hard to hear what the bass is playing, so at times I had to fill the gaps… I can’t guarantee 100% of what I wrote, but it seems coherent to my ears!
