This is a digital pdf knitting pattern download.
Congruence is a fun cowl with an interesting construction. It begins like a top down shawl, and then is joined to work in the round. This unique construction gives it more coverage than a traditional cowl. It has stripes and garter ridges at the neck, moves into a pretty colorwork section of interlocking and mirrored triangles, and finishes with a garter band. Knit in The Lamb & Kid Tod, it is beautiful as well as soft and snuggly!
Yarn
DK weight yarn in the following amounts:
MC: Approx 220 yd (205 m)
CC: Approx 160 yd (140 m)
Sample used The Lamb & Kid Tod (65% Yak / 35% Cashmere, 150 yd / 50 g), 2 skeins in colorway Kitten (MC) and 1 skein in colorway Ladybug (CC) - Be aware, if you are using Tod, that I used nearly all of my skein of Ladybug; you might want to have an extra skein on hand, just in case!
Gauge
18 sts and 24 rows / 4” (10 cm) in stockinette
Tools
Size 7 (4.5 mm) 24” (60 cm) circular needles (or size needed to meet gauge)
4 stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Finished Measurements
Approx 24” (60 cm) top to tip, 17.5” (45 cm) at widest point, 20” (51 cm) circumference at neck
