With a text that is simply "Alleluia," this piece is a peaceful yet joyful acclamation of praise. Used as a prelude, or anytime a hymn needs to be extended, this is a beautiful way to have both the choir and congregation experience sung prayer. I used this to extend the hymn sung while the newly baptized were drying off during the Easter Vigil, and also before mass during the Sundays of the Easter season. The choir members watched for my cues as I brought them in and out of the piece, and then for the final ending. In the style of Taize, it can be as long or as short as you need it to be.

There are four parts, and they can be sung by any combination of voices; harmonies can also be omitted if you have fewer singers. I've included a written out version of how I structured it as well as a one page version your singers can use if you are going to cue them when to add their part. I've also included a JPG of the congregation part for your worship aid.

Rather than charge by copy, my license agreement includes as many copies as you need to make for your choir/congregation for $5.
