Introduction to Your Inner Compass
A simplified, practical introduction to the Enneagram — and what it means for your health, your stress, and your growth.
A simplified, practical introduction to the Enneagram — and what it means for your health, your stress, and your growth.
Most personality tools tell you what you do.
The Enneagram asks Why.
Why you react the way you do under pressure. Why some situations bring out the best in you — and others bring out something you'd rather not see. Why knowing your type, when it's accurate, feels less like a label and more like a homecoming.
Introduction to Your Inner Compass is a five-module video course that gives you a clear, practical foundation in the Enneagram — without the complexity that usually comes with it.
No wings. No subtypes. No personality soup.
Just the core framework, the nine types, and a direct connection between who you are and how you actually live — in your body, your relationships, and your daily patterns.
Module 1 — Why Most Personality Tools Leave You Stuck
Why the Enneagram is different, why traditional approaches fall short, and what the ENRG framework adds that's always been missing.
Module 2 — Meet the Nine Types
A clear portrait of all nine types — including how each one moves under stress, in growth, and where they tend to hold tension in the body.
Module 3 — The ENRG Framework
Energise, Nourish, Restore, Grow — a practical bridge between knowing your personality and actually using that knowledge to live better.
Module 4 — Your Type, Your Stress, Your Body
How your type connects to the way your body holds and expresses stress — and how the lines of integration and disintegration work as real, daily tools.
Module 5 — Your Pathway Forward
What comes next. How to get accurately typed, and what the deeper ENRG modules offer once your foundation is in place.
A deep dive into every type's full profile — that's what the more comprehensive ENRG modules are for, once your type is confirmed. This is the beginning. A compass needle. The orientation you need to make everything that comes next actually land.
We're the founders of ENRG Perspective, based in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. Ian conducts all professional typing sessions and has a rare gift for seeing past surface behaviour to the type underneath. Jen brings the framework to life through teaching, writing, and the ENRG courses.
Our approach is deliberately simplified — core type and lines only — because we believe the Enneagram is most useful when you can actually use it. When things get hard.
After completing this course, the natural next step is a professional typing session with Ian — a photo, a questionnaire, and a 30-minute interview that cuts through the guesswork and gives you an accurately identified type to build from.
Everything becomes more useful — more specific, more personal — once that foundation is in place.
