Alveare - PDF knitting pattern

Alveare’s deep welts pile up like a iconic beehive, creating an irresistibly wearable slouchy Hat with an optional bobble. The alternating bands make for a simple, gratifying knit that shows the beauty of both sides of stocking stitch – choose a soft, smooth yarn such as this BFL singles for best effect.

Worked from the bottom up in worsted weight, the pattern is written in 4 sizes and includes tutorials for two cast-on techniques and I-cord.

Print and Screen-reader Accessibility

The LVA version of this pattern is written in 23 point Droid Sans font in all black text with no italics. All of the directions are fully written out with no abbreviations or charts. The instructions are presented in a single column, left aligned with 2.5cm page margins. The pattern has been reviewed and tested to work with a screen reader.
