Twisted Hearts Audiobook

4.75 stars for this third and last installment of this series! It doesn’t end on a cliffhanger, and there are some potential triggers. This book is definitely full of more adventures and events that had my heartstrings tugging more than the last book. I didn’t want to put it down.

I listened to the audiobook while reading along with the e-book. The narrators, Kelli Lindsay and Jay Alder, did another amazing job at bringing this story to life. They did a great job at making me feel like I was in the story every step of the way. With their help, you could feel the emotions, tensions and fears, the struggles, the determination, the healing and growth of friendships and relationships, and everything in between. I have listened to many of their narrations and will continue to listen to them because they do such a great job!

As for the story: My heart went out to both, Anya and Colby, for everything they went through together and apart. I loved the continued support of the side characters. I loved the growth of Colby’s sister and how she helped him to let go of the fierce protectiveness towards her. I once again was surprised by the twist of the story. I had a feeling something like that would happen, but I didn’t expect it to unfold the way it did. That’s not to say I was disappointed, I loved how it turned out and how they climbed their way to their HEA.

Boy, does Dakota Davies know how to write heart bounding action and emotionally fraught romance! In the first three chapters alone, there’s a total of four life changing events that happen (or have recently happened). The pace of the story is intense, the emotions are immense, and it just does not let you go! Fantastically narrated by Kelli Lyndsay and Jay Alder who really bring this story and these characters to life.
