Cinderella Glass Slipper Embroidery Pattern
Inspired by the faceted glass slippers from the fairy tale Cinderella, this embroidery design features a glass slipper with related, yet different colored facets to mimic how real crystal shoes might reflect light.
The surrounding border, vines, pumpkin leaves and blossoms, butterfly, and natural elements speak to Cinderella's gentle nature and her affinity for the outdoors. She's happiest in her abusive situation when interacting with animals, in the garden, and finds a carriage in her pumpkin patch! Rosemary and roses feature as well, to bring forth the romanticism of her story, and their meaning in the language of flowers from Victorian and earlier courtship practices, representing respectively: rememberence, loyalty, and love.
