Shore is a triangular lace shawl worked from side-to-side that features a new take on an old lace pattern. Elegant in its simplicity, this shawl pattern will show off your fuzzy, hand-painted, delicate skeins in a relaxing, rhythmic stitch pattern. The side-to-side construction means that you can maximize your yardage and the knitting seems to get faster as you decrease toward the end.

Shore begins with a few stitches, increases one stitch every right-side row to the center, then decreases one stitch every right-side row to the end. A ribbed border forms the straight edge of the shawl, while a border of eyelets is worked on the angled edge.

The pattern can easily be adjusted to accommodate the amount of yarn you have by working more or fewer repeats of the Increase Rows. If you are knitting at a different gauge, or substituting yarn, be sure you have at least half of your yarn remaining when beginning the Decrease Rows.
