Thoughtfully placed details, clean lines and simple construction is sometimes all you need.

This beautiful sweater is worked seamlessly from top down. At first, stitches for the back neck are cast on and the shoulder slope is worked by increasing stitches on each edge on every row. After that, the upper back is worked without increases to the armholes and placed on hold.

Stiches for each front are picked up from the shoulder slope and the fronts are worked separately until the neck shaping is completed. Fronts are then joined, casting on additional stitches for the middle front and then worked in one piece to the armholes.

Front and back are then joined in one circular needle and the body is worked in the round towards the hem. Stitches for each sleeve are picked up around the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round towards the cuffs. Stitches for the neck ribbing are picked up around the neck opening and the ribbing is worked in the round, folded in half and sewn in place.

The eyelet cables have written instructions. The cables are mirrored for symmetry.

This sweater can be worked in a variety of yarns from heavy fingering to light DK as long as you get the correct gauge. If using fingering- or sport weight yarns, I recommend using yarns that have a bit of loft in them. Please note that the given amounts are only an estimate and based on the yarn used for the sample.
