Gone But Not Forgotten is an enchanting piece Preston Reed first recorded on his Flying Fish label-debut Pointing Up (Flying Fish, 244) and is now available on the recording Preston Reed (Flying Fish, 7011). The piece, in dropped D tuning, is played in a similar vein as many of Preston's early compositions with Travis-style fingerpicking using an alternating bass line.
