The two founding authors of this manual are: Don S. Cameron and Dave A Rose

Don S. Cameron is a former police officer and a law enforcement consultant who specializes in training officers on the use of force and weapons handling. He has over four decades of experience in law enforcement training and has served in various capacities across departments in San Francisco, Berkeley, and San Jose.

David A. Rose is a seasoned law enforcement professional and instructor with over 40 years of experience in policing, training, and consulting. He is the founder of Rose Consulting, based in Auburn, California, where he provides expert instruction and consulting services in use-of-force, defensive tactics, and firearms training.
