Westland Lynx
A British twin-engined multipurpose military helicopter called the Westland Lynx was designed and produced by Westland Helicopters at its Yeovil factory. Initially intended as a multipurpose ship for both civil and marine purposes, military interest led to the creation of both battlefield and naval variants. The military forces of more than a dozen nations adopted the Lynx after it went into operational service in 1977. It primarily performed anti-armour, search and rescue, and anti-submarine warfare operations.
