The Kitty Mug Rug is a cute calico cat cup coaster! It is nearly no-sew, only requiring sewing for the head to the body. This sweet kitten pattern features a circle coaster, making it both a functional desk buddy and cute office decor. It makes a great emotional support stuffie, birthday gift, baby shower gift, Christmas holiday gift or market/craft fair product. This pattern was designed with faux fur yarn (Feels Like Bliss from Lion Brand Yarns) for a soft and furry stuffed animal. Blanket yarn or chenille velvet yarn can also be used for a plush look. This pattern is recommended for intermediate crocheters, especially if following with the calico cat color changes.

SIZE

Coaster size: 4.5” diameter circle

Length from nose to tail: 8”

MATERIALS

Furry Bulky weight “5” yarn in white, grey, and brown (I used Feels LIke Bliss yarn)

Pink thread for embroidering a nose

4mm hook for the head/ears

6mm hook for the body/legs/tail

10mm plastic safety eyes

Stuffing

Yarn needle

Scissors

FO = fasten off

MR = magic ring

ch = chain

sl st = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

hdc = half double crochet

dc = double crochet

tr = triple (treble) crochet

inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)

dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)
