The problem: A single 0. 10 m x 0.10 m square loop is between the poles of a large electromagnet. The surface of the loop makes a 53-degree angle with respect to the magnetic field. The magnetic field varies as shown in the illustration. Determine the induced emf produced by the loop.

The magnetic flux Ф through the loop increases as the magnetic field increases (see the graph). The emf has the same shape, only with a negative sign (the lower graph line).
