This toe-up sock, with a traditional heel flap and gusset, has an allover colourwork pattern and

pinstriped gussets. Contrasting toes, heels and cuffs mean that it is possible to make the socks using relatively small amounts of three colours, making them perfect for leftovers.


Sizes - measured around mid-foot

  • Small - 7" (17.75cm)
  • Medium - 8" (20.25cm)
  • Large - 9" (22.75cm)
  • X Large – 10” (25.5cm)

Gauge

36 sts and 40 rounds = 4" (10cm) in stocking stitch in the round


Yarn Requirements

3 differently coloured skeins of 4ply/fingering weight sock yarn, any that gives gauge should be suitable. You should allow approximately 25 - 40g of each colour. The sample used West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4ply solids:

• C1 (brown) - 630 - Nutmeg

• C2 (cream) - 010 - Milkbottle

• C3 (green) - 351 - Cardamon


Needles and Notions

  • 2.25mm (US1) circular needles, or dpns
  • 2.75mm (US2) circular needles, or dpns
  • 2 stitch markers
  • tapestry needle for weaving in the ends
