This cosy statement cardigan is as comfortable lounging around at home as it is walking around town. Knit in a luxurious mohair-merino blend, Belvedere’s textured stitch patterns create a dance of light along its haloed surface. The design includes tips on how to lengthen or shorten the body and sleeves, as well as instructions for placing the buttonholes on either side of the front opening, making this classic design easy to customize for the wearer.

Construction: The cardigan is knit flat from the bottom up in one piece, splitting for the armholes and then grafted at the shoulders. The sleeves are knit flat from the cuff up and seamed into place. 

Finish Measurements: 39 (44¼, 47¾, 51½) (55, 58½, 62) (67½, 71, 74½)" [99 (112.5, 121.5, 131) (139.5, 148.5, 157.5) (171.5, 180.5, 189) cm] bust circumference.
Sample shown in size 51½" [131 cm] on a 37" [94 cm], 5’ 4” [162.5 cm] tall model (14½” [37 cm] positive ease).
Suggested ease: 8–15" [20–38 cm] positive ease.
Yarn: 6 (7, 7, 8) (8, 9, 9) (10, 11, 11) skeins of Quince & Co. Crane in Pearland 624. 
Needles: 32" circular needle in sizes US 7, US 8, and US 9 [4.5, 5, and 5.5 mm]
Notions: yarn needle; scrap yarn or stitch holders; 6 buttons
Gauge: 18 sts and 32 rows = 4" [10 cm] in main st pattern with larger needles, after blocking.

Skills used: Cable cast on, mattress stitch, picking up stitches, long-tail tubular cast on, tubular bind off, Kitchener stitch (links provided); increasing, decreasing. Charts and line-by-line instructions included.
