The Unphased Phenomenon

Hear the word of the Lord for your current season: Respiration is not optional.

Western modernity wants an perpetual inhale without an exhale. It wants the harvest without the winter. It wants the church building packed with shouting people, but it pathologizes the quiet, holy shadows of the cave. But I tell you, if you try to only inhale, you will suffocate on your own joy. You must allow yourself to exhale. You must allow the weeping season to do its work, for your tears are the very structural resource required to water the farmland of your future monument.
