Beyond the Surface™ is a guided reflection and practice system designed to sit alongside your therapy work. It helps clients slow down, name what is underneath the surface, and then try something small and real between sessions.
It is built by a practicing licensed professional counselor, for clinicians who want a structured, client-friendly way to extend the work beyond the therapy hour.
What it is
A single interactive tool your client opens in their web browser. No app. No account. No login. Nothing to install.
Inside, clients move through 7 stages and 20 guided experiences. Each experience pairs thoughtful reflection with an implementation layer, so insight turns into action:

How it works
1. Purchase and download your files.
2. Read the Clinical Framework Manual to decide which experiences fit which clients.
3. Share the HTML file with your client in the way that suits your practice.
4. The client opens it in a web browser and works through it at their own pace.
5. They bring their Therapy Summary, Journal highlights, or Questions for Therapist to session.
Twenty experiences does not mean twenty required appointments. Use as few or as many as serve the client.

Beyond the Surface™ is a clinician-developed, evidence-informed guided reflection and practice system. It has not been validated as a treatment protocol, and no outcomes are guaranteed.
It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, crisis care, an outcome measure, or an electronic health record. It does not replace therapy. Responses are stored in the client’s browser only, are not encrypted by the tool, and are not sent to the therapist automatically. EWOL does not sign a BAA and does not host client data. The manual is a professional resource, not a client handout.

FAQ
Does my client need an account or an app? No. It is a single file that opens in a web browser.
Does it need internet? The tool is a single file that runs in the browser with no login. See the manual’s access notes for sharing and device guidance.
Where does my client’s information go? It stays in that client’s browser on that device. It is not sent to you or to EWOL automatically. Clients choose what to share through the Therapy Summary. The data is not encrypted by the tool, so the manual includes privacy guidance for devices.
Is it HIPAA compliant? The tool does not host or transmit client data and EWOL does not sign a BAA. Clinicians remain responsible for how they use it within their own practice and legal requirements. See the manual’s privacy and access appendix.
Do I have to use all 20 experiences? No. Choose the ones that fit the client and the moment.
Can I use it with every client? No. The manual lists contraindications and offers guidance on when it is a good fit.
Can I share it with colleagues or my whole agency? Your purchase is a license for one clinician to use with their own clients. Group, agency, or training use needs separate written permission. Email info@ewoltherapy.com.
Can I resell or redistribute it? No.
Can I get a refund? Because this is a digital download, all sales are final.
