I remember when I wrote and performed this song.

I knew people were hurting and needed to know they didn’t need to hide their pain. Nor did they need to be ashamed.

Today, after getting out of a Lyft, I turned back to the driver and let him know there was so much more to his story. In that moment I could feel the love of the Father, for him and his family. Sometimes we all need to know it's not over.

Your identity doesn’t come from things you’ve gained or lost.

It doesn’t come from an address. Nor social status. It comes from God.

Even on your worst day, you must keep going. Cry if you must, just don’t give up!

There’s more to your story. Sing your way through it. Write your way through it. Live your way through it. Believe your way through it.

I've cried silent tears of grief and sadness too. But I have never cried them alone. Instead, I have experienced the faithfulness of God on so many levels. I've been humbled to know a love that I can't even explain.

It's the love of God and it's greater than anything I have ever experienced.

You never need to wear a mask with God. He sees the tears we cry, yet He doesn't toss us away.
