A 16 year old does not want a picture schedule with cartoon clocks. They still might need a schedule. These look like a planner page, so nobody across the room can tell it is a support.

What's included:

• A full day schedule with room, materials, and a heads up box

• An A/B block schedule

• Now / Next / Done strips

• A task breakdown strip

• A change alert box

• An after school and evening routine, plus a work shift version

How I'd use it:

Fill it in with the student, not for them. That is half the skill. The work shift page is where this gets into transition: same routine, now for a job. I'd use the change alert for any day that is different, before the student walks in and finds out.

Everything is text based, so it is easy to fill in by hand or type. Print it on regular paper for a binder, or slide it into a sheet protector and use a dry erase marker. The change alert is small enough to stick on a desk or in a planner. For young adults in work programs, the work shift page covers clocking in, tasks, breaks, and clocking out. It looks like something an adult would carry, because it is.

Who it's for: Teachers, paras, students, and job coaches. Grades 6 to 12, plus adult education.

What you download: one printable PDF, 5 pages, US Letter.
