This is Unit 1 of WordBits: The KS2 Morphology Programme, a 12-unit spiral curriculum running term by term across Year 3 to Year 6. This unit covers six common English prefixes: un-, dis-, mis-, re-, pre- and sub- (think unhappy, disagree, misbehave, rewrite, prewash, submarine), with the BASE and ROOT distinction built in from the very first lesson.

Aligned to the National Curriculum spelling and vocabulary objectives for Years 3 and 4, and to the explicit morphology teaching recommended in the updated writing framework.
