Reading Log
No book limit. One file, many years.
A reading log built around four prompts rather than a star rating: why you picked it up, what it was really about, a line you kept, and who you would hand it to. Guided beats blank, and a grid of stars is what people mean when they call the apps sterile. Fill the prompts you feel like filling; a half-answered row is still a page.
WHAT'S INSIDE
Dashboard - the year at a glance
Start Here - how the file works and which cells are yours
Books - one row per book, where you actually write
Book Page - any one book, laid out as a page
This Year - the roll-up, and your reading goal
Shelf - every book you finished, as a wall of spines
THE PART NOBODY ELSE BUILDS
The Shelf tab turns the year into spines, and the colour of each spine is how much you liked it, in six bands explained inside the file. It is the only chart here you will want to look at for its own sake. No year is printed anywhere in the workbook, so one file carries as many years as you want to put in it, and sixty rows is only where it starts. A book you did not finish is recorded as not finished and never drags down the year's average, because marking a DNF should cost you nothing.
