When I first started researching the buildings of Brooklyn, I was intrigued by the interplay of the red brick with the metalwork and windows. Using slipped stitches in a metallic color on a red-brick base just kind of made sense, and the resulting hat is an homage to the architecture of Slipped Stitch Studios, and to the shop itself.
80 (90, 100, 110) yards of cA & 60 (70, 80, 90) yards of cB. I used Knitted Wit Superwash Worsted in Black Magic (brick red, cA) & Grey Wolf (grey, cB).
Small (Medium, Large, X-large): to fit head circumference 17 (19, 21, 23)" circumference. Taller hat: 9 (9.5, 10, 10)" from brim to top.Shorter hat: 8 (8.25, 8.5, 8.75)" from brim to top.
