Weekly Operating System
A week run as a loop: plan it, block it, log it, review it on Friday, and read thirteen weeks of whether anything is changing.
Name eight categories with weekly hour targets and flag which are high impact. Dump the week's tasks, score impact and urgency, and the sheet ranks them and marks your top three. Block those first, then log what you actually spend. Review compares target, blocked and actual by category, and builds the carry-forward list from what did not close.
WHAT'S INSIDE
Start Here — the legend and how to run a week
Dashboard — the week in six numbers, from hours logged to high-impact share
Setup — the Monday, your capacity, eight categories with targets and impact flags
Plan — the task list, scored, ranked, with the top three flagged DO FIRST
Blocks — the week as an hour grid, Monday to Sunday
Log — daily entries; the tab everything else is built from
Review — target, blocked and actual by category, plus three Friday questions
History — thirteen weeks of logged hours, target, variance and capacity used
THE PART NOBODY ELSE BUILDS
Three numbers per category — what you targeted, what you blocked and what you spent — and the two gaps between them mean different things. Target against blocked is whether the week was ever going to work on paper. Blocked against actual is whether the plan survived contact. The leverage column then ranks tasks by impact per estimated hour, which is what stops a ranking from simply promoting the biggest jobs.
