What are the chances that your best friend, no, your bestest best friend has the same name as you? I met Sally through the fibre world and while we live with thousands of km between us we spend our whole day together through the power of the interwebs.

I would say that we are polar opposites but that is not necessarily true, we are very different and yet sometimes scarily similar. I am always attempting to be tactful, Sally is straight-talking. She is a rugby-loving petrol head, I know what a try is and I can drive I have pink hair and like girlie things and she likes skulls. I am a bit chaotic in my thinking and planning and Sally has lists and is very organized. I have a thousand ideas and she helps me get focused enough to achieve them. We balance each other perfectly; she is my person.

I designed this pattern with Sally, she helped pick the next stitch pattern in the sequence and was involved in every part of the design process, she is even the Tech Editor. Together we are Organised Chaos

Pattern Notes

This asymmetrical shawl explores the wonders of garter stitch. This simple stitch, all beginning knitters learn, changes in each section to give different and interesting textures.

A fun project for those just starting out on their knitting journey, as well as those more experienced knitters. I have included a list of tutorials at the end to help new knitters

There is a stitch count given at the end of each section but it really does not matter if you miss an increase or decrease along the way. None of the texture sections will matter if your stitch count is slightly off, so just relax and enjoy the knitting and forget the numbers.

This is how I do the backward loop make one
