SKILL LEVEL

ADVANCED BEGINNER. Crocheters looking to follow this pattern should know how to:

• Read a crochet pattern - There is NOT a video tutorial for this crochet pattern.
• Work the basic stitches - Chain, single crochet, double crochet
• Create chain spaces and work into them
• Skip stitches
• Place several stitches in the same stitch or space indicated
• Stacked Single Crochet or be willing to learn OR feel comfortable replacing Stacked Single Crochet with ch 2 + 1 dc in first st.
• Place stitches in the side of rows for the border (linked tutorials will teach you, if needed).

This is NOT a Beginner pattern! This is an Advanced Beginner pattern, meaning you should know and feel comfortable crocheting in general before using this pattern. Absolute beginners who are just learning to crochet will find this pattern to be way outside their skill level.

PATTERN INCLUDES

• A robust PDF titled "With Photo Tutorials" that includes a detailed photo tutorials for Rows 1 through 11, which will set you up to properly repeat the rows. The photo tutorial has the steps written in detail, not short hand.
• The PDF also includes:

US Standard - Pattern is written in English and will not be translated to any other language. 

SIZE

Length: Approximately 56 inches.

Width: Approximately 15 inches.

Sizes are listed after blocking.

YARN REQUIRED

You will need Fingering (1- Super Fine) weight yarn of your choice. You will need approximately: 10.5 ounces/300 grams/1,071 yards. 

Note: If you alter the shawl in any way, including changing the weight or fiber of yarn, your yarn usage will not match these requirements.

YARN USED: We Crochet’s Hawthorne Fingering. This yarn is a blend of 80% Fine Superwash Highland Wool and 20% Nylon (Polyamide). 100 g / 357 yds per hank. 

The original colorway used (Eugene) appears to be discontinued. The colorway Sweet Home is a close match (a little brighter in color). Hood River could also be a decent match (more red than purple).
