• How to work in the round
• How to work into chain spaces
• How to skip stitches
• How to identify a "space between clusters" for the Granny Stitch (pictured below)
• How to move the working yarn over a couple stitches by slip stitching and understand this does not reduce the stitch count.
• Prior knowledge of how to work the Granny Stitch and V Stitch will be helpful but not required.

Medium (4) Worsted weight yarn of your choice. You will need approximately: 

Baby Blanket: 165 g / 6 oz / 371 yds

Small Lapghan: 440 g / 15.5 oz / 989 yds

Large Lapghan: 835 g / 29.5 oz / 1,876 yds

*If you change the size of the pattern, your yarn usage will be different.

Yarn Used: Lion Brand Pound of Love in colorway Sugar Cookie. This yarn is 100% Acrylic. 16 oz / 454 g, 1020 yd per skein. Sample blanket shown in photos is the Large Lapghan and used just shy of 2 skeins.

You can make this crochet granny square blanket pattern with a lighter or heavier weight yarn if you prefer. The yarn usage listed is for Medium (4) weight only. Your usage will differ if you use a different weight of yarn.
