The Raven Chronicles
The Raven Chronicles: Books One–Three
Three novellas. One journey into the darker side of Irish mythology.
Setanta is thirteen years old. His mother has vanished, his father has more secrets than answers, and the stories he grew up hearing beside the fire are turning out to be frighteningly real.
In an Ireland where the old gods have never quite gone away, Setanta finds himself caught in a war between worlds. A mysterious lady waits by the water, a terrible hunger spreads across the countryside, and an ancient king with a thirst for blood rises from the grave.
With a foul-mouthed leprechaun, a dog who is much more than she seems, and some unlikely allies, Setanta must find his place in a world where even the monsters have their own stories.
But there is something far more dangerous than the creatures he encounters. There is the growing expectation that he will become something he isn't sure he wants to be.
This collection brings together the first three novellas in J.M. Lane's Irish dark fantasy series:
1. Setanta and the Lady by the Water
2. Setanta and the Hungry Ones
3. Setanta and the Blood King
Drawing on Ireland's rich mythology and darker folklore, The Raven Chronicles is a story of family, loss, friendship and growing up in the shadow of legends.
Because being born into a legend doesn't mean you have to become one.
