HANI is a classic top-down triangular shawl, knitted with a simple eyelet lace all over the body and finished with a picot edging.
...............................................................................................
I enjoyed a lot of quiet time, knitting up the eyelets and watching them slowly form a delicate looking fabric. I was reminded of the old saying “Little drops make the mighty ocean”.
It made me wonder about how that applies to almost anything in life! And I wanted to bring some attention to all those little drops - tiny efforts, small kind gestures, humble beginnings that so often grow into something important and substantial in our lives. Hence I named the shawl “Hani” which simply means “drop” in Kannada (a South Indian language).
