Yarn: Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Sport (100% superwash merino wool; 136 yd [125 m]/1.75 oz [50 g]). 2 skeins. Shown in #807 raspberry.
Needles:
US size 6 [4.0 mm] 16” [40 mm] circular needle.
US size 8 [5.0 mm] 16” [40 mm] circular needle.
US size 8 [5.0 mm] double-pointed needles (dpns).
Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain gauge.
Size: Fits approx. head circumference of 22 inches [56 cm]. Finished circumference of body of hat at widest point = 19.5 inches [49.5 cm]. Finished circumference of brim is 15 inches [38 cm]. Finished length of hat is 10 inches [25 cm].
Required skills: Knitting in the round, increasing, decreasing.
Pattern stitch is written and charted. Pattern instructions include working gauge (before washing and drying) and finished gauge (after washing and drying).
