We all know emotions are high for the kids as well as ourselves, infact it's getting hard and let's be honest it's also getting hard for us the parents/carers to communicate how we feel.
There's alot we can do to ease emotions and communicate our feelings especially when it comes to everything going on during this current pandemic. 2 key things that we discovered in Aliyah's Classroom is communication and reassurance helps ease this process! Asking how the kids are feeling at the start of the day, middle of the day and end of the day is ways to encourage a transparent communication on feelings during the day. Each time the child/ren will be able to pick an emoji that best describe their emotions. This can be done as adult and will allow the child to understand your emotions and how you both can help each other feel better or even share your happiness.
