This bag features:

• One large main compartment securely closed with a zipper.
• Inside the bag is a zippered pocket and a divided slip pocket.
• The exterior boasts a vertical front zipper pocket, and a horizontal back zipper pocket with a hidden pocket.
• Unique side cinch connectors.
• A removable lining base.
• Unclip the side cinch connectors, remove the base, and change the shape of the bag. Perfect for packing in a suitcase and ready to pack as a second bag with all your purchases when heading home.

Exterior Fabric A: - 18" x 54" - Cotton canvas, waxed canvas, waterproof canvas. If you choose to make your Saige Satchel with vinyl/cork be mindful of your machine capabilities and your bag-making knowledge and experience.

Exterior Fabric B: 6" x 54 " - Raw edge material such as leather, cork or vinyl.

Lining Fabric: 1 yard 54" WOF. Waterproof canvas or similar weight.

Interfacing: 1 yard - medium weight interfacing - minimum 20" WOF

Fusible fleece: 18" x 40" (optional)

Stabilizer: Decovil light & heavy scraps

Decovil heavy, Peltex or Bouncy Firm (12" W x 6"H)

Zipper tape: 44 1/2" - #5 zipper tape

Rolled handle filler cord: 3/8" x 44" Polypropylene diamond braid cord/rope (or similar)

Webbing: 54" - 1 1/2" webbing for crossbody strap

Hardware:

This is a "prep-heavy" pattern. All the accent pieces, rolled handles, and cross-body webbing strap are constructed and set aside for use during the rest of the bag construction. A great opportunity to try working with leather.
