If one of your parents was born abroad to an Irish born parent, then as the grandchild of an Irish born grandparent you are entitled to apply for Irish Citizenship. To obtain your citizenship, you apply to have your birth entered in Ireland's Foreign Birth Register.

This booklet sets out how to apply, and what documentation you have to gather and submit in support of a successful application.

Clients commission us to:

  1. Research their Irish born grandparent to prove their entitlement;
  2. Source and obtain up to 8 certificates of birth, marriage, and death, to support their application;
  3. Complete their Application Form and submit it;
  4. Research their Irish heritage.
