Using dynamic teach-while-doing method children learn how to use Inkscape to convert different image formats to the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format and how to import them into FreeCAD. The book introduces students to the concepts of: the Cartesian coordinate system that describes three-dimensional space, conversion of inches to millimeters, the differences between bitmap and vector graphics, about respecting intellectual property rights and where to find royalty free images, how to prepare graphics for Inkscape's tracing operation, how to import the .SVG files into FreeCAD documents, how to extrude and scale from the paths into 3D objects, exporting of .STL files, using Netfabb Basic to check .STL files for errors, and 3D printer settings. This fourth volume relies heavily upon the instruction of the first three volumes and they should be considered prerequisite reading prior to tackling the exercises within.
