A fun corner to corner crochet square Afghan block, featuring a buzzy blue-bottle fly great for mini-beast fans of all ages, it can be used as a panel for a cushion or a bag, or made into a complete blanket as shown in the image of the finished Beautiful Bugs Blanket Cal. I have also designed a second square to compliment this design, The Swaggety Stag Beetle Square, which is also part of the CAL, which you can find HERE.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THIS PATTERN

This Pattern version includes a PDF printable version of the chart, the written instructions for the chart and the colour block chart for the Super-Fly Blue Bottle C2C Square with the colour ways and yarns suggested below

The example in picture 2 in this description page shows how it looks using the recommended yarns.

The example on the pattern PDF cover was created using DK yarn from my stash and extra embroidered detail added around the eyes and wings because he variegated yarn I used in the background meant it lost a little definition.

The instructions for embroidery, borders, and joining are not included in this pattern but blanket instructions can be found in the main CAL info HERE

This Design was released as part of the Beautiful Bugs Blanket C2C (corner to corner) CAL hosted by Elimee Designs, with each square being released each Monday and Friday for 7 weeks starting on 1st January 2024 and concluding on 18th February 2024.

The full pattern will be available to purchase after the 18th Feb from Ravelry, Lovecrafts and Etsy from Elimee Designs or for free by visiting each participating designer’s blog.
