These free Building Language Bridges self-advocacy sheets are designed to help children find the words they need when learning feels difficult.

The pack includes two versions:

• One for younger children, using simple, clear phrases they can use when they need help, more time, repetition or clarification.

• One for older children, with age-appropriate language to help them explain what they need, ask for support and become more confident speaking up for themselves.

These sheets can be printed, kept in a school bag, used at home or shared with a teacher or SNA.

I created them to give children practical language they can actually use in everyday learning situations, particularly when instructions feel too long, information is moving too quickly or they are unsure how to explain what is difficult.
