Shock O Lot Sunflower

This stunning Shock-O-Lat Sunflower was organically grown with love in the heart of the midwest, in zone 5b. This flower blooms a deep red-chocolate, golden tips and a golden halo around a brown center. Each bloom varies slightly, leaving for lots of beautiful surprises throughout the blooming season. This flower blooms after cutting several times.

These flowers make the perfect cut flowers and a bright splash of color to any planting area.

Flowers grow anywhere from 5-6 feet. Plant after danger of last frost in full sun. Bloom in 6-8 weeks.

Each photo taken is a flower grown in the last season. Seeds were collected directly from these samples. These seeds were hand harvested, so there is a small amount of plant matter in each seed packet.

A small permaculture project by Studio 2, the Rock Island Backyard Food Forest aims to provide food and seed security by building the small community it encompasses with the product it produces. All purchases of seeds directly fund this labor of love.
