Reception Autumn 1 UTW Planning – Marvelous Me! (6 Weeks)
A carefully sequenced 6-week Reception Understanding the World (UTW) planning document, designed to support children as they settle into school whilst exploring identity, family, change over time and the local community.
Built around the engaging theme “Marvelous Me!”, this resource supports children in developing an understanding of themselves, their families, their school community and the world around them through meaningful, developmentally appropriate experiences.
Planning is structured around key enquiry questions:
History

• Who is in my family?
Geography
• Where in the world do I live?
