I couldn't help but make my transcription of this iconic Jim Hall live performance, recorded at the BBC Theatre in 1964. The tune is "I'm Getting Sentimental Over You," one of George Bassman's originals that gained a new level of sophistication with Jim's exquisite harmonic vocabulary and technique.

This is a premium lesson from Jim about reharmonization, voice leading, time feel, motivic development, and finding simple, beautiful lines within the changes. There is enough material to analyze and study for months.

Besides the harmonic transcription, I also wrote down some of the superimposed triads and tetrachords found in Jim's playing.
